Thank you, friends, one and all. I did have a great day.

1.Started with Mass where I found out it was dedicated to me.
2. Called a friend for a lunch date.
3. Took the three sisters (nuns who had arranged "my" Mass) out for breakfast.
4. Went to grocery store for birthday cake, plates, etc. that I took to Bible Study class for my friends there.
5. Rushed across the street from Bible Study to lunch with a gentleman friend Clayton and I first met when his wife died -- about a month before Clayton passed away. Long lunch. The man loves to talk and I know he is lonely. He's quite a talented blues singer and harmonica player. "Legendary" is what I was told when he was asked for a copy of one of his CDs at the pub one evening.
6. Went back to clean up the cake mess I'd left at church in my rush to lunch.
7. Took 4 bags of treats to the nursing home -- one month after Christmas, right? -- for the names I'd pulled from Christmas tree at church. In addition to their Christmas presents I'd promised them a 'snack-of-the-month' membership.
8. Went to the gym -- really need to get there on a regular basis -- and had a good time with cardio and weights.
9. Responded to birthday wishes from my daughter's youngest son. Teased Trey for hoping my ass was well at home. Tisk, tisked him for talking nasty to his granny. He claimed it was a spell-check error for "all".
10. Went to weight loss meeting. On the way I stopped to make a dentist appointment and picked up food fer the fur babies -- if you can call Great Danes 'babies'.
11. Came home to roses from son and family.

All this on one of the nicest of January days for south-est, central-est Wisconsin. Ordered just for me, I'm sure.

Now all that's left is to make my supper of "cheesy, pasta-flavored tofu" (food?) and crawl into my heated bed for a good night's sleep; letting the big 7-0 event become a part of history.

It was! Of course, I planned to have a great day right from the start. The weather was just an extra special blessing. You must have had a sunny day with above normal temperatures where you are, Carol Dee, as well?
