Yay! I hope they do well for you.

I think if I'm ever going to have any success with melons I'll need to go the black plastic route.
I only grew the Blacktail once, and I figured because they were developed right up the road from me I could just direct seed them and eventually harvest a great melon. Obviously that's not the Yellow Brick road for me. :\

But I know you can grow a great melon, so I'm counting on you!
 
I had the same issue Major, I set my Kale, Lettuce and Broccoli out early last week. Everything but the Kale got bit hard. I think I'm going to direct sow everything In the garden next week during the heat wave and go from there.

Like the new Avatar, My son and I fished the North Carolina Catfish Tournament circuit for a few years, Always catch photo and release. I have some pretty impressive Flathead pictures I can share, not to highjack your thread, But your gonna want to see these.

A 98 lb. stringer my son and I weighed in, 2 flatties In the 40's and a smaller.(Me in the International harvester T)
