Don't be surprised if people dont knowledge your grief over losing a sibling I was warned when my brother died. Loss of a parent, grandparent or child and everyone is there for you. Lose a sibling and you get a quick I'm sorry and thats it.

Thank you all for your condolences.
We had very different lives and lifestyles and lived states away from each other, but we loved each other a lot.
He was always my favorite brother,(secretly). He was so good at being honest about his failings and so quick to tell a joke on himself.
He was so smart and such a brilliant mechanic, and always helpful to anybody who needed a hand. He has a lot of friends in his little community, and my sister and I have heard back from one of them of his love for us, and how much he appreciated the two of us. Makes me tear up thinking about that.

He sounds very much like my brother, oh how I miss him too. He also was quite about his feelings so when he expressed them you knew it was so. Hugs for you my dear friend. All those memories will comfort you in the days and years to come.

I am sorry that you lost your brother. I adored my big brother, he's been gone for 5 years. Since you found comfort in your animal friend, you can appreciate this. I had a ewe that was about to explode, she was so big. My brother's birthday is December 7 and I really wanted the lambs born on his birthday. Well, they came December 9, that's close enough. I also wanted a ewe lamb from this particular ewe, and I got one. I named her after my brother, Scott.

I also go to my brother's facebook page and wish him a Happy Birthday and tell him how much I miss him. Several of his friends do the same.

You will find your way to handle your grief, starting with your horse is a wise move. A hug and crying on your horse's neck is a comfort that people without horses are really missing.

Took Syringa for her daily walk yesterday.

She loves snow. She stops to roll in it, and eats it whenever I let her.

Mmmm tastes like snow!
