I did my first round of Christmas cooking last night.. Cathy's famous Gołąbki. The 2 pans are in the fridge melding the flavors for Christmas dinner. My Also famous chowder is doing the same. Pies and breads today. Have you started your Christmas cooking?

Have to assemble Mom's Christmas Casserole tonight to bake in the morning for an early gathering of friends.
Turkey is already roasted for dinner at my sister's. Still have to make the dressing and rolls.

I HAD several cookies and cheese straws... but had to toss them. I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER, NEVER toss frozen meat in the fridge to thaw just in it's packaging... Ever... But I was in a hurry and tossed that turkey in the fridge thinking I'd remember to grab a bowl or something for him to sit in long before he's anywhere near thawed...

But DID I??? Nope.
I opened the drawer that was stuffed with bags of cookies and cheese straws to find a nasty pool of thawed turkey gloop. He botulism-ed the entire bottom of my fridge!!!! :hit
I tossed the pastry shells, roll of amish butter, all of it. Oh well, needed a good cleaning anyway. :gig

DH receive'd a spiral sliced ham from his boss, so I baked it yesterday. Otherwise, we are still recovering from the flu...so nothing going on here.

The only thing I'm baking is a cinnamon suger pull-apart bread. It smells so good in the kitchen right now! It's going to be a challenge tomorrow morning driving to my mom's place on an empty stomach with this bread filling the car with this amazing smell. I made it for the brunch were doing with my side of the family. Afterwards we play a typical Dutch game shuffleboard with small wooden disks.
