I am new to the this vine. I got it in late July about 3 to 4 foot long. It has grown and produced several flowers. It still looks great. Do I need to do anything to it for winter? We are expecting our 1st snow (just a little tonight) I love it and want it to return next year. I think we are zone 4. Eastern Iowa

I guess it depends on the variety, there are a lot of vines loosely called passion flower. I thought they were more of a sub tropical but apparently there are some supposed to be hardy to zone 5. If it were mine I would cover it with coarse bark or a foot of pine needles once it was dormant, then wait and see what happened in spring.
I had one once... didn't make it through winter. I hope yours comes back!

I found this article. I will mulch heavily and cross my fingers.

Well, I tried. Mulched it heavily and it did not survive. I planted a pretty maroon clematis there. Which is looking a tad sad. Hope it perks up.
