What's happening with this weather, it's very rarely dark. Waking up at 3am with the light shining through my curtains. Thinking of boarding up my windows just to get a good night's sleep ☀:hu:hide

Silly question, when you are asleep with eyes closed, how do you know sun is out? (from someone who can always sleep day or night.)

the summer solstice is soon (June 20th this year) so after that we'll be heading back to shorter days (already?!?!?)... i'm not sure it lags much or not but perhaps you will notice the days getting shorter than now around June 30th or so... :)

I use eyemasks for sleeping. When I get back to bed, after that usual morning visit to the ladies room, it is usually eye mask time.
I wouldn't mind trying a eye mask if it doesn't make me to hot. :)

everyone should always have a towel handy. :) (reference to a certain Sci-Fi series :) ) i do usually have a towel around which does come in handy for blocking light if i'm not able to get into the zone.

Knowing my luck I would suffocate or find in on the floor along with my pillow. I've been like the walking dead here this past few weeks. 😴

There used to be a show on television that was set in Edmonton Alberta.

The cast was always indoors and I felt sorry for them. Imagine living at 53° North in continental North America .

.. It didn't occur to me to feel sorry if they missed sleep during spring and summer. But, I'm like @seedcorn , natural light doesn't interfere with me sleeping.

The ideal place for me to fall asleep is outdoors on a warm afternoon, in the shade of the apple tree back on my family farm. It's a good image for me to conjure up when I go to bed on a chilly night after putting up with outdoor darkness from 3:30pm on in December.
