"... peppers, went into the garden. Eggplant and more sweet corn are now residents. Some senposai ..."

I probably did none of these things any good Wednesday by exposing them to so much wind Thursday and Friday.

It feels like I'm back at 500 feet higher elevation with so much difficult growing weather in May. (It seems as though I said the very same thing, earlier on TEG 🤨.)

I struggled then and had a large garden of what would grow. The garden became smaller as I found more suitable and productive varieties. And, so - I can continue to try to be imaginative and research.

Between the heavy raindrops, I pounded in a 6 ft fencepost, the first for my beefsteak tomato supports. I also transplanted the biggest stemmed beefsteak tomatoes I had started from seed to a long window flowerpot to grow some better roots.
Already see flowers on a few of the beefsteaks that I up potted several weeks ago. They are Anxious to into the ground this weekend!

I started some seeds in my aerogarden, all herbs this time. Now that the holiday weekend craziness is over at work, next day off I am going to plant my seed corn and green beans, since the soil is finally warm enough.

yes, full on planting season here for the next few weeks. :)

Nothing much in the way of growth happened out there with the windstorm.

The basil went out. More pea seed planted -- a little risky this late. Soybeans for edamame :D

Neighbor's cat visited. Ya know, it's nice to have a large enuf veggie garden that a visit by a cat isn't cause for horrible thoughts & panic :). She's a nice kitty.

Showered some plantings with organic fertilizer and turned on the sprinklers. Everything in the realm of irrigation looked good.

Dug up curly dock gone to seed, next to my firepit and around the chicken enclosure. Burned it with rotten wood from 2020 gardening. Pretty good feat, considering how green it was.
Also, finished mowing that DH started saturday. It took us 30 minutes to mow the ~1 acre front yard with both the Kubota Tractor and my Kubota riding mower. 1/4 of the time it used to take with just a riding mower.
Also, this weekend I finally transplanted the sweet potatoes that I had kept alive all winter in the basement.
