What to plant Small spot

I planted strawberries in cinder blocks one year but they didn't do very well.
This was my strawberry section last year. The chickens actually got to part of it and ate/dug up some of my plants.

Yes, that's true. Mine were also at the top of a 3 block high wall that had Southern exposure. I'd neglected to consider how hot the soil could get.

I like how you arranged the blocks at differing heights. Very attractive!
