Nope. @flowerbug GLAD you don't want a dog.
Dogs deSERVE owners that want to lavish attention on them.
I have seen dogs that were out a chain all of the time and ignored.
Better off dead.

I Love it when my GS sticks her face in my face to get me up in the morning.
I feel REALLY safe when she accompanies me outside after dark and she stays close to me.
My 14yo dog sometimes goes, too, but sometimes we two sneak out without her bc, well, when you are a dog and lose a front leg to cancer, it's just hard to do some things!
As somebody wise here recently said:
"You do You, boo."

I've eaten enough for me the dog and whole of the cats in my neighbourhood so it's time for a rest after all that hard work

My cat Mister is now 15-1/2. We had to take him to get his hair cut. He had so many mats and getting worse and when all the hair came off I was shocked, he was so thin. The lady cutting his hair helped me look in his mouth and he had teeth missing. I felt so bad. I saw him eating dry food and I was giving him more and more can food because he seemed hungry. It has been maybe a couple of months and his hair is growing back and he has gained weight. He is all over the garden with me. He cannot climb or run but he thought he was going to catch a bird. He is my last cat I am going to have outside. I make him stay in at night and he stays in the yard now. Picture was taken long ago when he was just full of it, but mostly full of birds. Never saw such a killer. I could not have bird feeders until this year.
