I eat Brussels Sprouts about once a week. They are not a favorite of mine, but they taste healthy. I discovered a really fun way to eat them this week! Very tasty! You slice them thinly and make them have the texture of coleslaw. Then add some cranberries, some apple slices, slivered almonds, and some sunflower seeds. Top this fresh salad with a sweet vinegarette dressing that has honey in it! Enjoy!

Dahlia,

That sure sounds like a healthy mix ..

. with coleslaw. I have trouble imagining that even that flavorful combination can overcome Brussels sprouts 🙂. You know, cole and kale are essentially the same word ... :D

You have to love the taste of Brussels Sprouts to eat them. One steak chain serves up a broiled and honeyed version that sells well.
I like them plain.
NEXT YEAR, I AM planting and harvesting them!!
I want to freeze them and steam them.

Excellent! I acquired a new cuisinart food processor and have been a shredding and slicing fool in the kitchen. More so than usual anyways! Thanks for the tip! I have been roasting them and doing the balsamic or honey butter dishes.

Lately I have been enjoying the rice vinegars. So many flavors! Subtle too, not a sharp bite!

Anyways, last I left those tiny cabbages I was doing this honey thing as a liitle sweet never hurt them. One small bone to pic with the vid though is the idea of using butter. If butter is clarified and you have gotten the milk solids out of it by pre-melting it and skimming it then ok but at 475f the milk parts will burn. If you like that do it, but clarified is a bit more refined (see what I did there?).

The Brussels Sprouts salad I tried didn't have cole slaw in it, I was just saying slice your Brussels Sprouts so they have the texture of coleslaw cabbage...
It is amazing how different they taste raw vs cooked! You would be surprised! 😊 My son hates Brussels Sprouts cooked, but likes them raw.
