We have U-Pick blueberry farms here. They are scattered all over east Texas. I used to pick about 40 pounds every year, freeze and share with my Mom, who loved them.

We have those here too. I love going to those farms in the summer time and getting a couple pounds of several varieties.

Tried my hand at cross-pollinating amaryllis Pink Rival this morning, with pollen from Picotee, Apple Blossom, and Tosca. I used my recycled tea bags to bag three of the pollinated stigmas, which was easier said than done. I may have rubbed a bunch of the pollen off on the mesh bag. Some I left unbagged. Lol.
A few years ago when I tried this for the first time I went wild and pollinated all of the fresh, beautiful blooms on the plant following instructions that I had found online-- and then about 19 seconds later I read all the way to the bottom of the post, where it said 'once pollinated, the blossoms will shrivel and die'! And that is exactly what happened. The gorgeous flowers that should have lasted for weeks were all dried up within days. This time I enjoyed the blooms, and pollinated them once they started to fade.

I have been searching my photos because I took almost the identical photo of a cheery amaryllis on my kitchen counter in February 2022. Finally found it!

Ironically, I found a small Rosalie bulb sitting in the dark on a bin in my husband's shop area last evening. I am soaking the roots of that one, and a Flamenco Queen bulb that was with it. Flamenco Queen is putting up a bud! I am so glad I found them.

We just bought three very old blueberry bushes from a farm that is closing up over the next two years. The owner hired a tractor to pull the bushes out. He told me that if I find a stick, just stick it in the ground more than half way up, and it will sprout!!

Blueberries are so very delicious-- I am going to give that technique a try Rhodie Ranch.
Today I went to my very first seed swap, and it was tiny and friendly. I came away with Painted Mountain Corn, short yellow marigolds (I was in need of some of those), Black Krim Tomato seeds, and Sub-Arctic Plenty Tomato seeds. How cool is that? In exchange I donated a lot of lettuce seeds, buckwheat, larkspur, and Purple Majesty Millet. It was a lovely day, and now I am ready to put my feet up and just relax.
