Pansies 2023

What beautiful combinations of colour Phaedra. Is that Frizzy Fruit Salad Mix that you're growing?? https://www.westcoastseeds.com/prod...sFGgl96_oDSJ2ldSotUXFg8veBr-9W8s1T54RIsPMqr4E

I'm noticing a few special pansies popping up in my garden this spring. I hope to mark some of the really exceptional ones for seed saving. Qualities that I'm looking for include large strong plants, lovely colour, and upward facing blossoms.
I forgot their names, but they look similar. :)

I transplanted some earlier today, and they are just gorgeous (and very fragrant).

Noticed a bunch of golden seedlings pods on pansies this morning, so had to pivot to focus on seed saving instead of weeding for a bit. I harvested the ripe pansy seeds pods and took photos of the corresponding blossom, so I'll know what they'll look like. Last year the pods shot seeds all over the place when they dried down, so this year I covered them with either paper or a fine mesh screen to control them. Let's hope that does the trick. 🤞

How pretty! I love how you arranged the various colors!
