this poison ivy is still making me want to gnaw my arm off. this morning Mom says "Put some baking soda and AVC paste on it and it will go away." so i tried it. worked a little but calamine lotion works better, except there are times when it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. i tried to go back to sleep and when just falling asleep at last Mom starts clanking around in the kitchen and wakes me up. grr!!! so now i'm mad and awake but told her i still loved her.
time to go out and weed.maybe a blowtorch would work? j/k... sorta... (no, don't do this! i am not a doctor nor do i play one on the internet...)

When I was a kid, maybe 13 or so, I was an avid reader. I checked out a book about or maybe titled "Mrs Malaprop" and I found it hilarious, savoring those silly substitutions. Just a few years ago, I found the book at a library again, skimmed through it, and wondered what I found so clever and funny. Oh well, I guess the world is not as funny as it once was. (But I do love malapropisms, just not that goofy book full of them.)
