This morning , before a run to the soopermarket and before this afternoon's visit by an electrician, I did a simple search of my posts on a Gardenweb sub-forum.
Some of the TEG community have a history there. I have noticed that when they speak of GW, it is with some sadness after the changes that they experienced. Prior to the: changes, which occurred in 2015, GW was absolutely
bouncing with discussions on all sorts of things! Perhaps some of that is continuing in sub-forums having to do with like household furniture or interior design. Those subjects never held any interest for me.
I remember when a 24 hour lag between posts on the sub-forum that I most often visited was unimaginable. By 5 or so years ago the continuing changes and problems members have has made it so 30 DAY lags are not uncommon. Here's another example, Idaho Gardening never had much going on: now, not a single post in over 12 months. It was obvious that several members were making real efforts everywhere on GW to keep things going but there were just too many frustrations.
It is such a relief to have such a steady TEG forum, such a limited need to tolerate frustrations. And now, I have gotten some of my GW frustrations off my chest and feel better.
