Should I hold off planting my transplants and new seeds?

Hi. We’re expecting a thunderstorm this afternoon. I planned on putting out my Brussels sprout, Stonehead cabbage, Ruby Perfection Cabbage, Destiny Broccoli, Blue Ridge Kale, Rainbow Chard, Snow Crown Cauliflower and any any seed planted 1/2” or deeper today. Should I hold off until another day? If I go ahead can I sneak in seeds less than 1/2” deep too?

any deeper planted seeds might be ok, but it does depend upon the layout of the garden too as a slope can get washed out...

the shallower planted seeds could be covered with some burlap or old rags and then checked to see if they are sprouting once or twice a day to remove it.

delaying a day or two is also ok...

Well, I missed this thread before replying to your first post.

Yes, they do seem to be all cold resistant plants and you know your climate so they may be okay for Fall planting.

It does seem to me that a zone 7a garden planting should have been about 2 weeks ago . But, I live where it would not be at all out of the ordinary to have frost by now.
