Has Ground Hog's Day evolved into an avoidance of doing what you don't want to have to repeat over 365 days?
Perhaps so. I did manage to fall asleep before midnight but waking near the correct time meant that I only had 5 hours of sleep. That means a very likely nap soon. Naps are okay but if something interferes, I am likely to be grumpy
for the remainder of Ground Hog's Day.
What is this "correct time" for olde, retired Steve? Well, it is also Monday so, Garbage Day. Six AM is when it has to be out at the curb. Fortunately, I remembered to have it all in the bin last night. Only one can, an easy move. Unfortunately, sorta, I am usually concerned about snow on the handrail going down the back steps. This morning, it was covered with ice — didn't expect that and nearly put some weight on it while I was rightly concerned about the steps!
Returning indoors, DW was up and had found a pair of shoes on Amazon that she has been wanting. She immediately lost the advertisement for a sales price! Impatient for the next half hour until it turned up again and I had it off her phone and into the cart.
The best part of the morning was seeing the Full Moon the first thing I was able to look up into the sky
. It had mostly disappeared behind clouds by the time the bin had to be moved out but it was there
.
Steve, also thinking that a nice, warm home and an active DW are also far from the worst that is possible. Cheers!
