It was time to harvest the peppers. The raised bed in the hoop house, in a 3' by 20' bed I planted 2 rows of peppers. Ancho, Jalapeno, and Anaheim. I harvested 45 lbs. of peppers. If I can hold out and keep them from freezing I might get another 10 or 15 lbs.
I'm in zone 4/5 it hit 100 two days ago. No trees or bushes even close to turning. I still have blueberries on the bush. We did have a late start to spring this year.

Use plastic barrels filled with water to line the inside walls with a shelf on top. Paint them black and they will heat up in the day and stay warm at night.
The plastic on the hoop house is doing great. There have been some high winds but no holes. It's also only 4 mil.. The weather is hot now 90 + in the day but it still will drop to 45 at night. We had a 49 degree difference in low and high temp one day.

Got about 3 feet of top soil on the lower section about 12 ac. I just take the backhoe down skim off what I need to fill the raised beds. Clean out the goat house first put that in the bottom, mix compost with the topsoil and good to plant
