    Well my problem was trying to get water all the way down the soaker hose! Well it was my own fault I had two hoses hooked together and to get it all the way to the end of the hose I had to have the water going to fast. Flood at the start and no water at the end. So I had to just run the hoses...

    best way to water ?

    What is the best was to water watermelon, cantalope, pumpkins?? I have a 20x20 patch and I have been out there fighting my soker hoses, trying to get it right. Well lets just say the hose is winning.. How bad is it to use a sprinkler?? Or do I need to go fight the sokers some more? Thanks Erica

    Thanks so much Bills I only organic garden also. Thanks for the info this my 3rd year with a garden, and 2nd with strawberries, and yes they need some trimming and I just bought some great compost for my new pumpkin patch, andto topped off my raised garden beds.

    I planted a strawberry patch last summer in one of my raised beds. Well I just on covered it today lots of little plants under all that straw. Ok here is my question what do I do now? Should I fertilize, trim back some of the brown vines from some of the starts, or just water and leave them...

    Yes the rocks are around my raised beds. It sure looks nice. There are not a whole lot of weeds. It is my dh that is going nuts about the weeds and I really do not want a whole bunch of weed killer that close to my raised beds. I think just pulling them would be fine, but he would love to...

    How big is your garden?

    I have 3 6x10 raised garden beds. I just love them last summer was my first summer with the rised beds. It was so nice, there was hardly no weeds and everything grew so awsome. I sure wish I could start planting.

    we built three raised garden beds and surrounded them with rock. we do not want to contaminate the raised beds using round up or another toxic weed killer. we would really like to be able sterilize the area naturally. what can we use? vinegar and salt? what ratio? or is there something...
