Wow! I haven't been on for a while and I may never catch up with what everyone is doing/has done while I've been gone. Weather has us confused with somewhere else. Rainy/wet like we seldom see. We aren't a desert at the moment. lol

Jackie Clay of Backwoods Home renown talks of canning cabbage. I thinks she just poured off the canning liquid and heated with butter, but it's been a while since I read about it. I'll bet you could find it on their website.

Welcome! I can't even get to my garden area. It's either under snow or muddy. I'm confessing my jealousy for all who are working in the gardens already!
Pretty frustrating!! Isn't if beautiful, though. Nope, the chickens don't like snow on the toes. Do you think if I plan for snow, I'll get early spring?
Well, all that lovely white stuff is almost gone and mud is drying rapidly (they figure close to an inch of moisture). They hope to get into the fields next week. It hasn't gotten much below 30 degrees the rest of this week and up into the 70's for today. Beautiful day!!
Well, it was warmer this morning at 17 degrees and supposed to be in the 70's later in the week. We still have potatoes to harvest (more than a pivot and a half) and grain to plant, so it I hope it warms up and dries out for a couple of weeks, anyway.
