I once read but don't believe some Europeans imported and planted poison ivy in their gardens. It was planted for bright red fall color.

I think all daylilies can be eaten. Flowers and tubers.

I do not know about poison ivy. But plants can change the properties depending on where they grow.
Toxicity of different plants may vary depending on the position in the geographical area of the form, and the nature of the soil habitat, the climatic conditions.
For example, a deadly poisonous plant as Verátrum, in some regions of Armenia and Altai is a good animal feed, and in the southern part of the Tomsk region it contains 1/3 less alkaloids than in the north.

I cannot get peppers to produce unless I plant a large mature plant.That would be fine for my garden.

The snakes also rejoiced and crawled out of the woods to my house. To bask in the sun. They were everywhere, on roads, on wood, on compost and in grass. Fortunately, they are not poisonous.
Then the moles came.
I prepared a place for a new greenhouse. I would be very grateful for them to dig there. But they stubbornly walked to my flower bed. So I caught them and carried them to the forest.
