Had 1st/4 in home physical therapy visits today. My left leg is not swollen nearly as much as my right leg was last Fall. We measured a bend of 80 degrees--I am supposed to reach 90 degrees in the next 10 days, which will be doable.
Stretching out my pain medications, BUT, ever since the nerve block right before Thursday morning surgery I have had NO KNEE pain in my left leg.
Back to bed now for some more sleep, after doing dishes this afternoon.

Good chances of rain and Heavy rain for the next 5 days. Planting/tending/ANY gardening is now a dirty word with DD's and they downright refuse to do much, if any. DH is different and he will be putting out seeds for me in my south of the garage bed today and tomorrow, and we will see what grows.
I wasn't able to properly prep my 3 beds surrounding my cement cistern, 12' x 9' x 12', but I convinced eldest DD to drop okra and Indian corn seeds, and we'll see what grows, since it's had deep soaking rains since then.

DH dropped seeds for me next to the south facing outside wall of the garage, where I have this 4 1/2'x ~18' bed, on Thursday. He has promised to drop more seeds for me today, in between the raindrops.
DH and both DD's mowed the whole yard yesterday. Looks great, But I cautioned DH that he is scalping the grass and needs to raise it higher.
When I was grabbing seeds I made small jar of hollyhocks, sunflowers, and sweet corn. Not satisfied with the volume of sweet corn seeds I grabbed 1/2 packages of sweet corn that I had ordered from Jung for 2024. I was astonished--they were coated pink, just like the ones that I bought locally from an FS center (when they still sold to the general public and sold seeds by weight.) These seeds were viable, even one year after purchase, so I will hold onto the other package until 2026.
Here is the vial and my instructions, printed on a used piece of copy paper, hence the small graph, And a spelling error in instructions.

Thanks SO MUCH!! :hugs:hugs:hugs
This knee/leg is recovering a lot faster than the right one did. My bend is at 89 degrees (yesterday measured), and I will get to 90 degrees (goal) by next week. I am 0 degrees straight (that means totally straight.)
Yesterday (in steps, not all at the same time), I cleaned up all of the previous day's dishes, stripped my bed and remade with clean sheets, washed dirty sheets, folded and put away on shelf in the closet and folded and put away 2 other loads of laundry.
That means a good amount of walking in the house.
Still, I have to ask for and hoard the best pain meds (new prescription of Oxy, 20 tablets, $0.21, so it isn't cost,) and I have a good stash of methycarpol (muscle relaxant), and tramadol, to save up on the really good stuff.
I took long naps yesterday, last night took the right cocktail of pain meds but couldn't sleep, DH brought me an equivalent of 2 shots of vodka and I was down for the count WITH no pain and sleeping with my left leg straight, instead of bent, so...progress.
My walker (dubbed "Peanut") is still my best friend, until I am totally sure I don't need it anymore. They keep saying, "don't fall!" then see if I can walk without it.
Really, I am better to be cautious.
The woman who was also in the hospital room with me while spending overnight under observation by my surgeon, talked a LOT to the techs. I listened a lot. I didn't bring my phone--mistake bc I could have listened to the music I listen to with ear buds at the gym--and I didn't bring a book and I didn't watch any tv.
Apparently she had several surgeries on a hematoma--it was on her chart and I could read this--and she related to the techs how she had a walker, a cane, and a wheelchair, yet took several falls bc of being faint AND they had to medicate her for high blood pressure.
She obviously didn't listen to her medical caretakers, is living with 2 daughters as caretakers, and should have known better.
If I sound miffed it is bc I called for a nurse bc I had developed a headache, I don't often Get headaches, was ignored, then I was ignored by the techs when they came running to assist my neighbor who didn't call for a nurse.
Some 90 minutes later my "care team" brought me scheduled meds, and eventually, my headache went away.
Had I had my phone my next call would have been to family to call the floor and ask why I was being ignored.
I didn't ask to be observed overnight, and would have preferred to go home same day.
