i love blueberries that are on the tart side. sometimes we buy blueberries that are shipped from all over to our stores and they have little to no taste. makes me sad. recently with MI berries being available they have what i would consider proper blueberry taste. yummy indeed! :)
i probably would have liked it too. :) some people are picky eaters... not me. mostly. haha!
next time ask them if there are any vegetables they would like better if they were not made into a stew or soup, so perhaps some could be used if they were by themselves. plain or with a little...
was able to get out this morning for a while with no breathing issues and worked until my legs got tired and that was enough.
in the front we have some areas around and under pine trees and cedar trees that have wood chips down that are getting taken over by weeds and so i spent some time there...
there are storms just to the south of us heading up this way, but never know if they'll get here until they do.
[and yes, we're getting some rain at last! :) :) :) ]
usually i'm watering within a day of weeding around the beans and there aren't too many that are having issues. i've accidentally pulled just a few bean plants out because they were so tiny hiding in the weeds.
i lost a lot more bean plants from the critters and the crowding by the weeds. now...
we don't smell the smoke but it isn't normal as i usually do not bring up gunk in my throat all the time and have a hard time breathing. towards the end of the day the sky cleared up quite a bit and we could see the sky and the sun. still seems sorta gunky though.
they've changed our forecast...
air quality is bad today here. the sun is up but we can't even see it through the smoke/haze... normally i've not noticed any problems breathing but both of us today are not working outside this morning. Mom notices it even more than i do most of the time and today it feels like i have...
as i'm sprawled out here after watering and getting the hose hooked up to the hot water heater to drain it with the hose going out the door to the back downhill so it can be empty by the time the plumbers get here...
i'm thinking back to the time when i was up north and living in the residence...
84F today and increasing through the whole week to Friday +90F - aka hot and dry all week only chance of rain in forecast is for next Sunday (i think they just throw that in there as a consolation prize or bait or hope or something...)...
will have to be out watering this morning before...
@heirloomgal i've also had a bunny being a rather persistent problem even in the fenced gardens. i blame most of it on myself of course since i had let the weeds get thick and that provided a lot of cover and food for the creatures and now i think it has decided that is its home turf. now...
