I only trim dead wood on mine. I pinch the tips after they finish fruiting. They're high bush so I want them as big and bushy as possible.
We have 3 rows but since they are along a fence sideways to the sun I once trimmed a high, medium, low height to see if the increased sunlight could help in some way. Mind you they were doing well already. I cannot say that they are any different really, at least not much, but they do seem to have more branching at the trim cuts from years ago.

My babies are high bush. They were 'husky rooted from cuttings' last year. Nice little plants. They just aren't really thriving as to growth since they are supposed to be 6 feet tall high bush plants. But they are only in 2 gal containers and were nibbled down by the bunnies over the winter....

I wanna order some plants before the week (and the $special is over.) I want bushes that do well between Zones 4-8, and I may consider those plants that bear 2x/season, but that is not necessary. Any thoughts to share before I order blind?
If it was me, I'd grow Spartan and Chandler. Those are Sooooooo yummy! 😋

i love blueberries that are on the tart side. sometimes we buy blueberries that are shipped from all over to our stores and they have little to no taste. makes me sad. recently with MI berries being available they have what i would consider proper blueberry taste. yummy indeed! :)
