it is so sad when such extremes happen. as a mid-20s someone i had issues and considered that option but am glad to say that i figured things out and managed to avoid the extreme soon ending choice.
we're in a low spot, have you ever heard the expression "Foggy bottom"? yes, we've got one of those (Mom may say something about Me, butt we don't have to go there do we?)... it is very rare we don't have fog and heavy dews here.
i'd put up some tall poles and put some plywood on 'em. you can paint them to look like trees on your side. :)

i was hoping to be almost done by now in that north garden mess. nope. i did get two rounds in today and somewhere around 11 buckets of weeds put on the weed pile (which is really stacked up enough now that i'm pushing things off under the bushes and trees next to it).
one or two more rounds...

they are very strong and get a lot of nourishment from tearing apart rotting logs looking for grubs/worms/beetles...
one of the crab grass plants i got out of the north garden yesterday was spread out across nearly 6ft. i've never seen one that big. guess that garden soil is pretty good and plenty of moisture is retained when it rains hard enough because i have a ridge built up around the edge.

heavy fog this morning, which is gone now. today and tomorrow are the warmest days in the forecast at 83-82F, chances of rains tomorrow but today is go crazy weed day again - would be nice to get the north garden done or almost done today.
i had that happen several years ago with a large podded edible pea (Green Beauty) where i went out to check the pods for harvest and they were full and drying down so i wanted them to dry fully before i harvested. as i'd not had any problems before with critters eating my peas i left them, went...
