yes, if you see a post from me we have power as the radio network i use doesn't have battery backup. we do have a propane fueled fireplace so we're ok if we lose the power to run the furnace - we call it camping. :)

no, i don't think they are catbirds, but not sure yet what they might be. i've been looking through the following link to see if any look close to what i was seeing but not sure yet as i've been hauled away to other things... the good news is that there will be carrot cake tonight... :) ...

i hid behind a cup of warmed up milk and a few warmed up chocolate chip shortbread cookies. that was dessert after having a cold ham sandwhich, with cold bread and cold macaroni and tomato chunks. a balance of the forces was restored...
