it was reasonably warmer today so that was nice and since i had to run some errands today that helped. :)

yes, i recall it being reasonably productive for me when i grew it those years ago. too bad it is a pole bean, but i did have extra seeds for a long time and did get some of those given away to other people before i ran out. i don't think i have any here now other than perhaps some of those...

no snow, cold at 19F with wind chill down to 6F. up to 38F today and increasing day time temperatures through the week, some nights still below freezing.

the more northern part of the lower peninsula of MI got a good storm the past few days so the crews are out restoring power. still a day or two for quite a few people to have power restored. temperatures pretty cold the next day or two. glad it missed us.

that's the kind of stuff i remember from living up north too. just life. it melts eventually. the houses were built up there with the front porch and first floor about 1.5m off the ground level so you'd have someplace to shovel snow when winter kept going on and on. sometimes we'd have snow...

we had a lot of rain again last night and then this morning, but now it is cleared up and sunny and windy and cold. some chance of snow is forecast for later but i'm ok with snow, the temperatures will go back to the teensF tonight - i'm hoping the winds don't get bad enough to take the power...

at first i thought this was going to be about a different plant, but interesting... :)

i was naughty at times, but this was someone else i knew and was living with for a while and some episodes that i witnessed involving a troubled child. ended up ok years later but for the short term back then it made me go from having a home to being homeless within a few moments.

congrats to her then for the hard work and getting through a tough time.

give peas a chance. even the green shoots are edible from some varieties and then there are the pods and the peas too.

it will depend upon the variety of onion as to when it will start forming the bulb. some are daylight sensitive and others are not. :)

they've now changed our forcast for tonight and tomorrow to less snow. that's ok, we've had enough moisture for now.

snow and windy today. rain this afternoon and then back to snow tonight. not too bad tomorrow but snow will be back on the ground Saturday night and Sunday up to 5 inches total. what does that mean? cold and wet - how much? roll the dice...
