they've now changed our forcast for tonight and tomorrow to less snow. that's ok, we've had enough moisture for now.

The local airport weather station reports over 8 inches of snow, .80" of precipitation.

I just checked the airport weather station about an hour's drive south and they had almost exactly 1 inch more of precipitation than here, yesterday: 1.8 inches, snow and rain.

And, it was raining down there still, this morning.

I bet the dry-land farmers of the Palouse Hills are happy with that. That is, it it didn't run off their fields but I suspect that it did not.

we had a lot of rain again last night and then this morning, but now it is cleared up and sunny and windy and cold.

some chance of snow is forecast for later but i'm ok with snow, the temperatures will go back to the teensF tonight - i'm hoping the winds don't get bad enough to take the power out again with that kind of temperature and wind it would be hard to keep warm for so many people.

It might hit 70 today in Portland OR. That is needed to dry up some of the water, thats been causing flooding everywhere.
