Yes, they are ready for harvest. They look great, just spongy and limp. Some of them snap but most are just limp. I can't think of anything other than dry weather. The bushes do not have any bugs on them and they look good.
Our green beans are limp right off the bush.:( What would cause this? We have had dry weather for a couple of weeks. The bushes look great the beans are just limp and not snappy. They are not too big. Any ideas?
Has anyone heard from fellow gardener RustyDHart from Michigan lately? I was messaging him about some comfrey and haven't heard from him in a while. Not worried about the comfrey, just wondering if he was OK!!:idunno
My husband and I still love getting the eggs. We really love it when we go to close them up at night to see where everyone has stationed themselves. We have 11 hens about 4 months old and 5 grown hens and two coops connected to each other with roosts in both coops. They are at different places...
My garden is just burning up with this Georgia heat. I water, but the plants are cooking from the sun. Anyone else having this problem? We need a break from this extreme heat soon.
My Brandywine and Rutgers tomatoes have hard spots in the core. Is this related to the heat? I did a search and cannot find anything but I think I remember something about it being because of the heat. Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you - If you have some seeds left I would be glad to pay you for them and send a self-addressed, stamped envelope. I haven't ever planted the plants before - but if it would work that would be great. Thank you so much. :D
I went into the woods behind our house and got some pine needles to put down as mulch around my vegetable plants. In 2 days all my tomato plants and squash plants were dead. :( Do you need to "cure" the needles before you put them around the plants. I did not let the pine touch the plants - I...
Does anyone have comfrey that I could get a sprig from. I will gladly send a self addressed stamped envelope to you. I hope this is OK to post. If it is not OK, please forgive me and let me know so I can delete it. I just found where this should go. Please forgive me. I don't know how to...
A friend of mine has had beautiful potato plants with no potatoes! This year I gave her some of my potatoes and she had the same problem and my potatoes were great. We have the same raised beds with the same kind of dirt. What could be the problem?:he
