Holly’s are a great tree to guard the house and garden. Some standard types grow wild here up to 75’. I have a few of the Japanese variegated varieties. Lovely leaves green with white trim , green with cream trim, and bright red berries in winter. I have several different types of holly trees/shrubs deciduous and evergreen. Small and large. This below pic shows an evergreen Japanese Holly sporting a clematis thruout the summer. When winter arrives the holly stands alone with bright red berries. View attachment 73477View attachment 73478
