I was just wondering how everyone's doing with their pumpkins. I have one that's growing pretty well. I tried to measure it around but I can't get underneath it. So I measured as far as I could and it's at 38 inches. I'm so excited to see how big I can get this. Here is a picture.:D

So how is everyone else doing?

My white pumpkin is hanging in there, the plants dont look so good, I think mice are nibbling on plants. or maybe wind damaged . The biggest one is a little over 12 inches, but I have ten more or so growing on one vine. I will keep watering until it quits.

Booo... no pumpkins here. Kids stepped on the replanted pumpkins and broken. Oh well!

I will post a pic, when harvest time comes around- and we can all have a good laugh and celebrate cross pollination!

Lesa, if it is good and weird, make sure you save some of its seeds! The second generation resorts the genes, and you get each plant different combinations of the original parents of the cross.

Here's my pumpkin its still green at the moment. Can't wait to see it turn orange, Its actually a volunteer from last year. I'm glad I left this plant in the garden to grow, just goes to show you that it is worth it to let volunteers grow, never know what will come up.
Those are sweet potato vines growing around the pumpkin in the pictures.
