@Blue-Jay, I have not tried eating the green pods of Alice Sunshine. I have only had a few bushes. I grow Polish beans to eat fresh pods. Here we have many varieties intended for this purpose, especially waxes which are very popular.

the variety names are in Latvian, I will also write an English translation from Google. These are local cultivars and the names are not official.

Cīruļoliņas (Larks)
Gaiši Brūni Lāsumainās (Light Brown Spotted)
Omas Pupas (Grandma's Bean)
Omas ar Zilo Svītriņu (Grandma's with Blue Stripe)
Koši Sarkanas Pērlīšu (Bright Red Beads)
Kurzemnieku Lillā (In the Courland Lilac)
Koši Dzeltenās (Bright Yellow)
Zilais Ūdenskritums (Blue Waterfall)
