A few thoughts about weeds.

It is amazing how our perceptions can change - some of the plants I previously thought of as weeds, I now think of as goat food. I'm often out in the pasture with our young doelings (they seem to think I'm somewhat equivalent to Mom), and will notice the leaves they seem to prefer and pick them for them. They gobble them down, so even when I'm not with the goats, my perceptions is that these plants are preferred goat leaves - not weeds anymore.

weeds also bring up nutrients/micro nutrients with their deep roots, that are unavailable to our cultivated crops, I leave what isn't in the way, and till them under before they go to seed.
