Until @flowerbug confirmed this, I thought we had all gone down in a plane crash and didn't know it.
You know like in the Canadian series "Lost". At least we're in the land of the living, well sort of.

you know we're in trouble if you start reading a lot about people being hungry for brains. at least that is what i keep seeing in the zombie apocalypse books (which i'm not a big fan of, but when i'm desperate for a good apocalyptic book that is what is mostly been written the past 20yrs
). that or vampires... which i don't much read either.
