That first one kinda looks like a mimosa tree.... but not exactly....

If you have a University in your area, they many times have an Agriculture Dept, with an Extension Garden that have free services to the community for helping identify plants and give gardening advice.

Excellent suggestion, ribbetzin. When Mrs. Smiles and I spent a year (2004) living in the Florida Everglades National Park we always called Miami University and Miami-Dade College when a new or unknown plant was discovered. The schools were thrilled to gather a few students and crawl around to gather date on unknown plant life.

We also had a list of herpetologists who were glad to come and gather data on the gazillions of reptiles we had there.
