Thank you all for the welcome. I have been signed up for quite awhile, but haven't posted anything. It was another member who sent me a link to this thread so I could see the HUGE lily, that is fantastic.
The butterfly plant is supposed to be a tender perennial in my area, zone 8b. And it seems to be getting smaller each year. It will get to about 8-10' tall here. I have it planted on the NE corner of my house so it gets some afternoon shade from our very HOT sun (summer afternoons). It was 99º here just before the rain came in while ago...and 101º yesterday.
So far no one I have shared the seeds with has been successful in getting them to geminate. And I've tried taking cuttings without any luck there either. So if anyone knows the secret to prorogating this plant I would appreciate it if you would share it.
