You can see here where I've been spreading these new wood chips and also old ashes into the garden, slowly but surely.
Tomatoes...either dead and gone or acting like they've got all year to make something, stretching towards the sky. Some of the cherry varieties and also the Brandywines are 9-10 ft. tall.
Then there are the squash and the lone pumpkin that think they are just getting started. That poor pumpkin has shoved its way through the fine mesh of the deer netting.
That poor pumpkin....
I did not train this pumpkin up the fence, it just sort of took on a life of its own...
Beans on a few vines I planted are choking a few corn stalks and producing all they can!
And gratuitous pics of flowers in all that wild tangle.
While I was out taking pics, I snapped a few of the flowers at the front of the cabin, just getting started...these will bloom until frost and after, putting out way more blooms than you see here.
I'll take more pics as those flowers come into a fuller glory....every fall I await this time with much, much joy!
