Baymule’s 2019 Garden

Most of my poor little corn plants got knocked flat. I propped some up with dirt mounds. Next, I will just go plant seeds, leaving the plants to see if they revive.

I set out 51 Blue Lacinato Kale plants this afternoon. Got another 10 to set out. Then I have 60 cabbage plants to set out, some broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce and pak choy.

I think Bay is still in her learning phase at her new location. I'm trying to imagine how much garden space 60 cabbages will take let alone how much saurkraut that would make. It boggles the mind. Still, I don't know how she will use it.

If we don't like the kale, the sheep will. Not worried about it. I want to can sauerkraut and will share the cabbage wealth with friends. I got the cabbage set out today.
