The Giant Pink Banana squash just doesn’t quit. The vines are starting to get powdery mildew but the squash is still growing! I have 10 out there that are a foot long or longer. I don’t think they will make it to frost, if we ever have one.

The good news is that the sheep love the squash. I chop it up for them and they gobble it up. I just can’t believe this stuff!

if you eat them young are they like zukes?

Would y’all believe the GPBS has gone for a THIRD round? Frost is very late this year, supposed to have frost Tuesday morning. I’ve been giving the sheep treats. I chop one up in small pieces and give to the sheep. They love it!

With a hard frost on the way, we picked the squash. Got 25 of them, left the tiny ones. Fed 3 smaller ones to the sheep and 2 damaged ones to the chickens. BJ put these on the porch. There may be 1 or 2 that are far enough along to cure. These will be for the sheep and chickens.

We picked all the green tomatoes too, even found 3 beautiful ripe ones. Fried green tomatoes tonight! A lot of them look big enough to go ahead and ripen. A lot are just small, I’m going to chop and sauté them in bacon grease for the chickens.
