Baymule’s Farm

I put on my bib overalls yesterday, no blue jeans yet! My son and I went to my sister's in Conroe. She had a bad fall 3 weeks ago and was fretting over her yard. Son loaded up his zero turn mower and we went. He mowed while sister and I visited. She fell again the night before yesterday and hurt herself all over again. She has no grab bars in her bathroom, I'm going to ask my son in law to install some for her. We are all going to my sister's for Easter.

After we left my sister's, we stopped in Huntsville on the way home and had Italian food, So yummy!

I went to Corpus Christi last week to see my middle granddaughter in a school play. They start working on it in October. She had a speaking part and even a song solo! Her parents didn't even know that she was going to sing, she knocked it outa the park.

I've been staying busy and bored with the menial tasks I've set for myself. This morning I have a neighbor coming over to help me unroll some wire so I can fence in the back of the yard. And drive some T-posts. Normally I'd just do it myself,

Last night neighbor Kyle called, he works out of town. Wife Courtney had come home with the 2 kids, 3 years and 6 months, to find a snake in the chicken coop. I went over there and neighbor Charles did too. I got the snake out with lopping pruners and Charles bashed it with a sledge hammer. Courtney is like me, stinko independent, but can't do much about a snake holding a baby with a 3 year old hanging on her leg. I've gone over to help her with 4 snakes and 1 raccoon.

Texas is in drought, my area is severe. I got 2 1/4" night before last, but need more. It all soaked in, there are no puddles left. Sheep are on dry lot so they don't kill the grass by over grazing. So I'm going to NOT mow the yard, but enclose it so I can turn them out in the yard. I've already let them graze the driveway. LOL

I have an appointment with the surgeon Thursday and he will cut me loose. But I will still be careful, I sure don't want to do this again.
