Thank goodness I do not dock tails on my sheep, their breed standard is to leave it natural and long. I probably will not castrate many ram lambs, to avoid infection and just market them whole, as rams. But any ram lambs that I keep to grow off for my own consumption will be castrated and I'll just have to keep them up in a pen for further attention. No horns on my sheep, so no dehorning. Don't have to shear them, so no nicks or scratches from being sheared.
California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas are on the front lines and will bear the brunt of this. Hopefully we can keep the NWSW contained and get them eliminated here.
