Thistle, could that be another crossbill at the other feeder? Maybe a female? It has a large bill for a goldfinch, I think.

Got some nice shots of a Pileated Woodpecker today, and we also saw a Three-Toed Woodpecker while we were out cross country skiing today!

Wow @NwMtGardener , those are wonderful. I have never seen a Pileated
though I'm in their range. I assume that little guy with the gold spot on his forehead is the Three-Toed. I've never seen one of them either.

Great photos. I also have never seen the 3 toed. But have on several occasions seen a pileated. Once a bit too close up, DH hit with truck!
