@seedcorn it wasn't mean, it was a northern caring and giving thing to do.

It benefited both of us. She got to cool off on a hot day, which she wouldn't think to do voluntarily, and I got to laugh at her maniac side showing.

I tried putting a pool out for my dogs for 2 summers in a row. They never touched it. Wouldn't even drink out of it that I ever saw.
Finally I moved it to the chicken coop and filled with sawdust & sand. They still use it.
