Lawn at work is full of dandelions. Was a slow day today so had kennelboy pick some for Harvey. He picked much more then Harvey can eat, can I freeze them? In the past I tired to keep in fridge but they turned to mush.

Of course you can freeze them, I just don't know if Harvey will want anything to do with them or not. :sick

When I gather dandelions for jelly or wine, I clean them by removing all the green stuff then freeze them. I think @baymule said she dried them. Not sure how that would work.

Only if Harvey will eat them frozen or semi frozen. I think they will get wilted/mushy fast as they thaw.

Why don't you just spread them out on paper towels and see how they dry that way. I think freezing would make them liquefy.
Dried would be more like hay.

I am tiring the drying, if it doesn't work can always get more :lol::lol::lol: I have to say Harvey is the only animal I have had where half his food is free.

I think frozen would be fine if you were cooking them for jelly or such. I saw a dandelion fritter recipe that looked yummy.

Just think how many jars of jelly that could have been made from this field.
