Trying to keep this cookout small :p Hoping maybe down to 15-20 people. It never seems to go that way though :/

Saw what you picked, how long is each row?
40 ft long Jared! They are very good producers.... unless you have crappy weather like we have had lately. It's raining again! :(

Thanks Dew. I always did teepees with mine but next year I want to do rows instead. Too much wasted space with the teepees. I was curious what you were getting from how many feet. Trying to get a handle on how a row I want to plant.

I have all the meat on the smokers, the potato salad and cole slaw are chilling in the fridge, so I have a few minutes to kill.

Jared, these are Blue Lake bush type beans. They are a very good bush variety and normally produce even heavier than they have this year. If my math is correct, we have put up 78 1/2 quarts this year. That's from two pickings. Each 40' row yielded a 22 quart water bath canner full at the first picking. The second picking yielded slightly less. If we kept them going and picked a third and fourth time, we would easily go over 100 quarts, probably 120 or so. In a good year, we would already be over 100 quarts. I really want to switch to pole beans, but I need to come up with a good tee pee or trellis system that will stand up to the spring and summer storms we get here.
