Coywolves are about the height of a German Shepherd or Large Collie. They are rangy and fast. I have seen one run down my driveway, and we hit one with our car. They have a nasty habit of luring dogs out to "play" and then the pack tears them apart. They can be loners but have been successful as pack animals. They are one reason that I do NOT free range my chickens. I don't worry about my horses bc any of the three could bash their heads in with a kick.
