Oh, $60 does sound a little pricey. I would have bought it for that price if I had the perfect spot for it and loved the piece. You don't see something that unique to often. I like to add a little pop to my decorating.

Got the last wall on the breeding/spare pen framed out and the doors painted and tinkered with, the track for the sliding door up and such. Old joints moving slow today and all, it was a fun day. I love using tools and creating things, even if I'm none to good at it. I can make it sturdy and level and that's about as good as it gets with me. 
Felt like spring here today with temps into the 70s and even warmer expected the next few days.

Mary I used to have an upholstery business I ran out of my double garage. I was able to stay home with my kids and make some money too. I have dragged home stuff so bad, it stunk. I would strip the piece down to the frame, Clorox the frame and rub all the springs with sandpaper. Then I would build it back and have a beautiful piece. I still have one of my commercial machines and there is a nook built in my new porch just for it. I love to take something worthless and make it better than new.

Bay, that is such a useful skill to have. I wish I had learned how to do it. I see a lot of furniture out on the curbs. I think someone could pick them up, refinish them, and sell them on craigslist and make a part time living out of it.

On any of my threads, there is no such thing. I can't stand it when folks get their panties in a wad when the subject changes on a thread. It's called a conversation and rarely do they ever stay on topic for pages and pages.

Had to run the GrandAngel home and noted a fresh road kill bunny down the road a piece. He came home with me and was chopped in half with the machete so that the dogs could have a half each. Nothing goes to waste on a rabbit...they eat those, every last hair.
This is kind of fun but I'm betting I'm going to be really embarrassed one day when I'm scooping a road kill and someone I know is passing by....
That deer is all gone now except a little piece of hide they keep carrying around and burying. Just four days to consume a small yearling deer in its entirety.
Ben has been so ornery today. Little Aliza had all her "babies" in her little stroller, playing beside my construction zone, and every time she would walk away from the stroller Ben would sneak over and try to snag a bear or a baby and even her little frog. The funniest part is how he would lift these items with just his small incisors/front teeth, very delicately and just by a little piece of yarn or fur. Oh, so quietly he would pad up, gently and delicately he would grasp these babies and try to ease away without us noticing.
I had to get on to him several times but I didn't have the heart to say it firmly..it was just too sweet.
I'm going to have to get him a dog toy of his own...I've never seen him so attracted to something like he was to those baby dolls and teddy bears. When I would tell him to drop it, he would always do so quickly and gently but he really wanted himself a toy today. Big ol' goof! 
He turns 8 mo. old tomorrow...guess I'm going to have to shop for a good dog toy that he can't tear up so he can carry a toy around all he wants.

Just about got the breeding pen tweaked all the way. Most of the materials used have been free, scavenged, or on hand, with just a few purchases along the way. The door on the left is an old screen door fit to a sliding closet door kit and the door on the right came from the habitat store for $5, it's on the original hinges. Even the screws used in this project were removed from lumber I had saved from the trash in town and reused here. I love to do construction from repurposed materials.
