cinnamon toast

... brown sugar, peanut and cinnamon ..

. well, maybe ... The flavor would be, Whoa!

it sounds like breakfast in a few minutes... :)

Cream cheese would be on the other side of the spectrum.

Steve

i'm thinking some green onion mixed in with the cream cheese would still work with raspberry jam, but i'm one of those people who don't mind mixing sweet and savory things together.

I’ve made cinnamon toast with cream cheese instead of butter. I thought it was very good but the rest of the family thought I was crazy. I’ve also made toast with cream cheese and raspberry jam. To me it tastes like cheese cake with raspberry sauce but once again no one else would try it.
Cream cheese and jam are super partners, especially in Bagels!

Me too, mixing some sweet and savory is so hometown flavor for me.

For example, a cinnamon flavor pancake with Adzukibean paste and cheese 😆🤤🤤 - a very common street food in my hometown, but it takes me much more effort to replicate it in Germany.

Good Idea!

Years ago now, @Zeedman helped me experiment with soy and adzuki beans in my garden. I LIKE the adzuki pastries that can be purchased at Asian markets - an interest that began when visiting "Expo 86" in Vancouver BC! Unfortunately, adzuki beans couldn't produce mature or vviable seeds in my garden.

I still buy the pastries. And ... we have a similar little cooker which could be useful for "pancakes" like that. I think cream cheese would be especially appropriate.

Steve :)
