Coffee

Here is hoping that it is a good day for everyone.

I have spent much of the recent 4-5 hours looking for quotes and ideas about life, history and the reality of the present moment. It didn't occur to me that a quote and thought from "Peanuts" and shared in TEG could create such motivation :).

The authors and "influencers" quoted everywhere seem so ego centered expressing their words. But, how else could it be? Language slices and dices. The hands on the knife and cutting board are the individual's. And yet, the the shared reality apparent to each of us is like this dense fog that surrounds my home at this, the present moment.

Enjoy the moment. I will take the time for clean clothes and a second breakfast 🤤.

That goes double for me!

my first reaction to morning is to go back to bed (after peeing). it being the winter now and the days being shorter i stay up later reading and it is a way for me to take a break from the nearly constant music. so when i wake up in the morning i've only had maybe 5-6hrs of sleep and a few more is often a good idea. but really i can't say that what goes through my mind that early in the morning is actual thought level ideas at all, it's more like instinct.

later on after i do wake up enough then Mom wants music for her quilting or cooking or whatever she gets into and it finally becomes tolerable for me that i can put it into the background.

Mondays are my day in the office, so acting like I'm doing something of importance. Second cuppa and nibbling on holiday treats in the kitchen, which I really shouldn't be doing.

Planning the week ahead, since baking is high on the list. Swedish Rosettes, and my first go at carrot cake for Christmas dinner. Wrapping is done, presents bagged and labeled. Sort of anticlimatic....

I have reverted to my 3rd shift hours for some unknown reason. With the short daylight hours, this is not good because this has me sleeping away most of this scarce natural light.
My waxed amaryllis is blooming.

And I have restocked the pantry following my recent shopping marathon.

Good Morning.

Third shift? I never worked nights. Strange that when I was an actual "farm" worker, during grain harvest I was expected to show up at 9 because the field needs to dry from overnight dew. On some days, I wouldn't be home until 11PM. Running lights on combine, so much fun.

Processing and Distribution ... have the wholesale products available at the time those retailers wanted to put it out for their customers ...

Then, the pretend farmers' marketing – do the whole damn thing from seed to markettable including magically popping up like a mushroom in some convenient and attractive setting for the recreational benefit of the customers usually on their day off ...

Uh oh, I have been UP since before 3, time to set some breakfast on MY table. grump-grouch-complain ...
