Coffee

i've never had a chance to get to any presentations at a seed swap because i'm way too busy at a table. even last year when i had someone with me helping out he ended up wandering off for a while and i didn't get away.

a bit later they had a gathering in an auditorium that i wish they'd just had in the gym. wasted valuable time. :(

Coffee First with leftover Cracker Barrel lunch biscuits, then 2nd breakfast was one pint's worth of turkey broth with coffee.
WELL hydrated and very healthy, at least the 2nd breakfast was very healthy...

Just gonna put these right here and you can think about them in the morning. I'm inclined to agree with the first ... and hope that we can all realize the second :).

Banana pancakes, baked apple with raisins, oolong. Herbal is in the kettle. Pancake dough in a 4-cup measuring cup had 2 medium bananas in the mix absolutely necessitating dollar size on the griddle ;).

Snow flurries yesterday were somewhat entertaining. About every 10 minutes through the afternoon – the lightest of dustings blowing about, like powdered sugar. What fell after dark didn't melt. The tiniest fraction of an inch is now out there on the landscape.

I think Yellowstone received most of the precipitation blowing out of northern Cal. What fell in southern Oregon was supposed to make it up here and didn't. @Rhodie Ranch and @Shades-of-Oregon shared their 3/4" of rain the other day and we had 1/2". If it is snowing down river, the Cascades must be catching nearly all of it. Looks like @Branching Out had quite a storm, yesterday.

The longest stretch of dry weather in January was tied with 1948 of 17 days with no measurable rain. The long stretch of sunny and dry weather came to an end last Thursday as clouds increase and Portland prepares for rain and potential valley snow. A light dusting of snow this AM and melted by noon. More snow expected the next few days.
