Garden Master
Mom is still helping take care of a friend's daughter three days a week. when she gets ready to come home she calls to let me know she's on the way (supposedly so i can tell all my girlfriends to get out before she gets home - it's a joke - but it is really because i worry a lot if she is late and she's not really good at all driving in the dark so we have a curfew set up for her 
). well anyways i was having a sweet craving so i asked her to stop at our local grocery and grab a few donuts (once a month) and if they had any cake donuts to get a few of those... no cake donuts, but the cinamon rolls are pretty good even if they're not my favorites. they make them about 7-8 inches across and frost them with white frosting and then drizzle chocolate and caramel frosting on top of that and then some walnuts. for $1.25... that was my dinner with some chocolate ice-cream on top. when i finished that, i was tired as i'd not slept much the night before or the night before that, etc... so i said good night and pretty much passed out for the entire night. slept through Mom watching her shows on dvd and her sleeping in her chair. she said she got up to go to bed at 3am. i didn't hear anything, but i did ask her to not close my door to my room and pull my door shut because often the noise of her doing that wakes me up. so she didn't do that i did not get woken up at all. perfect!
a brother and a son of his are supposed to come over today for lunch and a visit - will be good to see them. i've not seen this brother since last fall sometime. he's quite the character (all of us siblings are so different - thank goodness, cuz i don't think the world could handle any two of us alike )...
my room is a mess and i need a shower so i better get those things cooking... speaking of which Mom is making some split pea and ham soup so i better also get that big slice of ham out of the freezer for her...
